Roadside Station Mokkulu Shinshiro | Japan Highlights Travel, for sightseeing around Tokaido

Toyohashi Station

[Roadside Station Mokkulu Shinshiro]

The "hub" of Oku-Mikawa, with a great variety of fun foods

This facility was established in 2015 with the aim of being a hub for the Oku-Mikawa area, a place where tourists can stop by to rest and enjoy a meal, and where local residents can get together. The food court offers a great variety, and it's bustling with visitors every day. Among the food options, the "Mokkulu Morning", available only during breakfast hours, is particularly popular. You may be familiar with tamago-kake gohan, a meal composed of white rice mixed with raw egg, often seasoned with soy sauce. With "Mokkulu Morning", you can enjoy tamago-kake gohan with your choice of about 20 toppings. Also not to be missed are the amusingly long bread and swiss rolls, or the extra-large gohei-mochi. After you enjoy the food, take some time to relax in the free foot bath, the water for which comes from Yuya Onsen.
