Atsumi Peninsula, facing the Pacific Ocean and Mikawa Bay, is a treasure trove of shellfish. The area has been known since long ago for its wide variety of shellfish. A project called "Kaizukushi Atsumi" (literally meaning "Atsumi full of shellfish") has been rolled out in Atsumi Peninsula in order to advertise how tasty their shellfish is. You can enjoy a wide variety of shellfish dishes at many eateries. You can try purple butter clams deep-fried or char-grilled, rare and precious mirugai clam sashimi, and more. There are a full range of dishes to enjoy shellfish's natural richness and sweetness! Set out on a journey to discover new and delicious flavors in "Kaizukushi Atsumi".

Access Alight at "Toyohashi Station" of JR Tokaido Shinkansen, and go to "Shin-Toyohashi Station". Take the Toyohashi Railroad Atsumi Line for approx. 35 minutes, alight at "Mikawa Tahara Station".
