Introducing the history of Fujieda and works by local writers

Fujieda City Provincial Museum and Literary Museum is located in Rengejiike Park, a renowned wisteria spot. The Provincial Museum showcases Fujieda City's history from primeval times to the modern era. It displays artifacts excavated from the Site of Shida-Gunga (a nationally designated historic site), and materials related to Tanaka Castle and the post towns of Fujieda and Okabe. In the Literary Museum, the study of author Kunio Ogawa has been recreated. Born and raised in Fujieda City, Ogawa is known for works such as "Aporon No Shima" ("Isles of Apollo" in English). The museum also introduces the lives and works of other writers who have ties to Fujieda City, through exhibits and videos. In the viewing room, you can browse works by each of the writers and related magazines.
