[Rengeji-ike Park]

Admire flowers that are beautiful in any season in this oasis

Under the theme of "Flowers, Water, Birds & Smiles", Rengeji-ike Park is filled with colors of nature. Rengenji Pond found in the park was created by the local residents in the early Edo period, supplying precious irrigation water. Benzaiten—one of seven gods of luck in Japanese mythology—was enshrined on the pondside to protect the valuable water, and it is still worshiped today. Today, a park has been built around the pond, and is brimming with cherry blossoms, water lotuses, wisteria flowers—the symbol flower of Fujieda—and other flowers. The place is an oasis for the citizens of Fujieda where they can visit any time of the year. Take the time to warm your heart and enjoy yourself surrounded with picturesque scenery.
