[Aoba Symbol Road Illuminations]

Shizuoka's winter tradition, Aoba Symbol Road Illuminations

Aoba Symbol Road, the tree-lined street leading about 500 m from Aoi Square to Tokiwa Park, will be decorated with beautifully glittering illuminations for a limited period. 2017 and 2018 features "The sparkling Earth viewed from Omachi". You can enjoy sparkling illuminations, just like lights of hope spreading from Omachi(*) into the future. The 10 m high symbolic monument "Night sky overlooking Mt. Fuji," as well as the massive Earth and other planets floating in the water, are must-sees. * Omachi: An expression mainly used within Shizuoka City that refers to the center of the city.
Posted photos Main Aoba Symbol Road, bustling with crowds of people at Christmas, year-end, and New Year's.
Two photos upper one of its great charms is that the illuminations are lit up until late at night, lower why don't you enjoy the heartwarming illuminations with someone special?
