Shizuoka Station

[Tokai University Marine Science Museum (Museum of the Sea)]

A museum where you can learn about the ocean from different angles

You can learn about the ocean from different angles through three exhibition areas: An aquarium that keeps and displays over 400 species, a mechanical aquarium in which mechanical fish swim, and a science museum with an impressive whole skeleton of a pygmy blue whale. There is a lot to see, starting from a huge ocean aquarium, an aquarium with creatures that live in Suruga Bay, deep sea creatures, an aquarium with different varieties of anemone fish from around the world, and much more. There is a tsunami demonstration tank outside the building, where you can witness the horror of tsunamis.
