Kokozurayo | Japan Highlights Travel, for sightseeing around Tokaido

Shin-Fuji Station

[Kokozurayo]

You will find all the souvenirs of Fujinomiya you need right here

This souvenir shop is located right next to the torii of Fujisan Hongu Sengentaisha, a registered UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. "Kokozurayo" means "Here it is!" in the local dialect. The shelves are lined with local specialties which make full use of the natural bounty of Fujinomiya, such as processed foodstuffs made from rainbow trout raised in spring water from the foothills of Mt. Fuji. Inside the store there is a dining corner where visitors can sample Fujinomiya yakisoba, a famous and inexpensive local gourmet item.
