Odawara Station

[Pola Museum of Art]

The museum based on the concept "the symbiosis between Hakone's natural beauty and works of art"

The Pola Museum has around 10,000 pieces of art and paintings, collected over some 40 years by Mr. Tsuneshi Suzuki, the successor of the founder. It houses a collection of Western paintings which focuses on impressionists such as Monet and Renoir, as well as Japanese paintings, oriental ceramics, and makeup implements and other items from countries all over the world. The Museum is built among the trees growing naturally in the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, and you can enjoy the nature in the site through the outdoor path "Art Nature Trail". Enjoy the lush forests of beech and himesyara stewartia trees as you wander. While taking in the works of art, let your mind and soul relax for a moment as you fall under the spell of Hakone's natural beauty.
