[Mentai Park Tokoname]
Eat your fill of freshly-made mentaiko as you learn about the spicy, briny food
Mentai Park Tokoname is a mentaiko (spicy pollack roe) theme park created by Kanefuku, the leading producer of mentaiko. At the “Mentaiko Museum”, visitors can look through glass windows on a factory tour, and, through games and videos, learn about the biology of the walleye pollack, from whose eggs mentaiko is made, and about the history of mentaiko. There’s something here for everyone, from children who want to have fun to adults who love delicious food. The park has tons of original foods that you can't find anywhere else, like big rice balls with freshly-made mentaiko, and even mentaiko-flavored soft-serve ice cream! The outlet store offers mentaiko products that would make perfect souvenirs.
