A memorial museum where you can immerse yourself in the gentle world of children's author Niimi Nankichi
Introducing Niimi Nankichi, a famous author of children's stories who was born in Handa and created masterpieces such as “Gon, the Little Fox" and "Buying Mittens". Through the permanent exhibition rooms and reading room inside the museum, you can get to know about the life and world view of Nankichi through manuscripts, diaries, and letters handwritten by Nankichi himself, dioramas that depict scenes from his works, and more. The exterior is also impressive, with a gentle curve that harmonizes with the surrounding landscape. There is a promenade in the adjacent "Nursery Tale Forest", so you can enjoy a rural mountain walk.
