[Higashiyama Zoo & Botanical Gardens]
A place packed full of highlights, with a zoo full of popular characters, botanical gardens with seasonal plants, and more
A zoo, a botanical garden, and an amusement park, all in one! This huge leisure facility contains the Higashiyama Sky Tower and tons of other things to see. The western gorilla Shabani has gained fame as a “hot guy gorilla” due to his dashing good looks, while the siamang ape Keiji-kun’s strikingly human-sounding cries have garnered him some attention as well. The new Gorilla and Chimpanzee House opened in 2018! There, visitors can see gorillas and chimpanzees move and play like they would in the wild. The park’s food courts and souvenir shops offer great variety that won’t leave you wanting. You can spend a whole day of fun in the park.
"Shabani”, whose clean-cut features, cool ways, and handsome looks are the talk of the town
