[Osu Shopping District]

A hodgepodge of a shopping district, where you can find just about everything

A large shopping district that spreads from Osu 2 chome to 3 chome on the south side of downtown Nagoya and the Sakae area. There are about 1,200 shops and restaurants in this area. It really is the shopping district with everything: electrical appliance malls like the Osu Ameyoko Building, casual clothing and lifestyle shops, street-side eateries where you can sample food on the go, multinational food restaurants, and much more. You'll never tire of this constantly changing area, with its old-established "uiro" shop, canteens, and cafes, all coexisting among many others. The Osu Street Performers' Festival is held every October, and draws hosts of spectators from across the nation.
