[A Stroll Around Shuzenji Hot Spring Town]

Wander around this historic hot spring town and immerse yourself in nostalgia

With its long history and rich nature, Shuzenji hot spring town is an ideal place for a stroll. Why not walk around the town and explore the historic places like Shuzenji Temple and Hie-jinja Shrine which tell the story of the rise and fall of the Genjis? Also interesting to see is the Shigetsuden, a sutra library which was donated to Shuzenji Temple by Yoriie's mother, Masako, with a prayer for his happiness in the next world. The five bridges which are believed to have mystical powers for success in love, and the Bamboo Forest Path, a riverside promenade surrounded by refreshing bamboo trees on both sides, are also full of hot spring town nostalgia.
