[Numazu Port Restaurant Quarter]
Get your fill of fresh seafood!
Numazu Port is in a good location with Mt. Fuji to the north and Suruga Bay to the south, and a variety of seafood, such as bonito, mackerel, horse mackerel, and red bream are landed there. There are many places where you can try fresh seafood around the port, and lots of souvenir shops selling dried salted horse mackerel, of which Numazu is the No. 1 producer in Japan. As a luxury only available at Numazu Port, you can enjoy live whitebait freshly landed during the fishing season between March 20th and mid January.
