A Shinto shrine where Load Ieyasu prayed for victory before his battles

Matsudaira Chikatada was the fourth-generation head of the Matsudaira family, the ancestors of the Tokugawa family. This shrine was built by him in 1470, to pray for the prosperity of his descendants and continuing luck in battle. It is said that Tokugawa Ieyasu also revered this shrine and visited it to pray for victory before important battles. The third Shogun, Tokugawa Iemitsu, enshrined Tosho Daigongen (Tokugawa Ieyasu) here. He redeveloped the precincts and built another shrine in 1636. The existing shrine is the result of Iemitsu's renovation of the main shrine originally built by Ieyasu, and further reconstruction in the gongen-zukuri architectural style. Many of the buildings have been designated as some of the nation's Important Cultural Properties. Among these are the main shrine, the hall of offerings, the hall of worship, and the shrine gate. After looking around the Important Cultural Properties, how about praying for victory like the Shogun families did?
