[Hatcho Miso Ryori Ichikawa (Okazaki Park Inkyo-Kuruwa)]
Have a taste of Hatcho miso cuisine and try a gorgeous "samurai parfait"
Located in Inkyo-Kuruwa on Okazaki Castle grounds, Ichikawa was established in 1927. This restaurant serves meals and snacks incorporating Okazaki's local specialty, Hatcho miso—a must-try when visiting Okazaki. Some of the snacks can even be enjoyed while strolling around Okazaki Castle. The Hatcho miso used at the restaurant, of course, comes from one of the two finest Hatcho miso manufacturers: Kakukyu Hatcho Miso or Maruya Hatcho Miso. The "Dengaku Teishoku" set meal, featuring lightly grilled tofu skewers topped with Hatcho miso, is perfect for savoring the rich yet refreshing taste of Hatcho miso. If you want something more filling, the "Miso-Katsu Teishoku" set meal featuring deep-fried pork fillet generously glazed with Hatcho miso sauce is the best choice. The restaurant also has a variety of desserts. The gorgeous "samurai parfaits", inspired by samurai warlords like Tokugawa Ieyasu and Ii Naomasa, are loved by many.
