[Sohonke Nishin-soba, Matsuba-Honten]
Created in Gion, Kyoto, and inheriting the flavor of its forefathers
"Matsuba" is a long-established soba restaurant which was established in 1861. The main branch is located to the west of Kyoto Minami-za. The second owner, Yosakichi, invented "nishin-soba" in 1882. Since then, "Matsuba nishin-soba" has come to be a very popular dish and representative specialty of Kyoto. You're sure to enjoy the exquisite flavors of soba, soup and gently cooked "migaki-nishin".
