[Kakegawa Castle Park Sakura Matsuri]
Enjoy the sakura with fun events like a beer garden and mochi-pounding
Spend an enjoyable visit full of laughter and excitement while admiring the sakura petals whirling in the wind with the castle tower as the backdrop. While the air is still brisk, the first in the park to herald the coming of spring is the new species special to Kakegawa, the Kakegawa-zakura. As various species of sakura such as somei-yoshino and shiki-zakura bloom one after another, the curtain is raised on the long-awaited Kakegawa Castle Park Sakura Matsuri. The festival starts with a rare Kakegawa Castle Goten Wedding, and a beer garden is open during the festival period. The Hommaru Hiroba bustles with lively events like eating competitions, candy showers, and mochi-pounding.
