Kiga Station Bicycle Rental Terminal | Japan Highlights Travel, for sightseeing around Tokaido

Hamamatsu Station

[Kiga Station Bicycle Rental Terminal]

Great for exploring Iinoya, the land famous for Naotora Ii

Why not rent a bicycle at Kiga Station on the northern side of Lake Hamana, and enjoy the picturesque views around the lake? By renting a bicycle, you can visit more places in a shorter space of time. If the weather is fine, you can take it at your own pace and enjoy fine views including Lake Hamana's rich natural beauty, and the nostalgic landscape along the Tenryu Hamanako Line. The area called Iinoya, at Lake Okuhamana, is related to the Ii family, one of the distinguished feudal lord families of the Edo shogunate government, and the maneuverability of a bicycle makes it the ideal means with which to visit the various sites related to the chatelaine Naotora Ii, such as Ryotan-ji Temple. Feel the wind in your hair and discover the charms of a holiday that's a bit different from usual.
