[National Fireworks Display (Beside the Nagara River, Gifu)]
Various fireworks compete to add color to the Nagara River in summer
A grand fireworks festival held based on a different theme every year. Once the fireworks festival starts with the wide starmines, various types of fireworks are let off one after another and colorfully light up the night sky. The impressive fireworks, which include the approx. 300 meter-long Niagara, which runs across the Nagara River; quick shots of 3- and 4-go-sized fireworks; and the climax of starmines let off in succession at the end of the festival, are full of spectacular impact. There are no paid spectator seats, and visitors can see the fireworks from wherever they want. Popular spots to view the fireworks from include the area under the river dike on the right side of Nagara River from Nagaragawa Park to Gifu Miyako Hotel, the Gifu Memorial Center, and Gifu Castle among others.
