Nagara River Onpaku | Japan Highlights Travel, for sightseeing around Tokaido

Gifu-Hashima Station

[Nagara River Onpaku]

Events to deepen affection for Gifu among visitors and guides alike

This large-scale event lasts several months and includes a variety of hands-on programs and attractions, mainly in Gifu City as well as in towns and villages along the Nagara River. In order to show off the appeal of the Nagara River, the locals take the lead in introducing the culture, art and food that have been cultivated around the Nagara River. For example, visitors can enjoy a guided stroll around historical districts of the city, try fishing in the river with fishermen, and enjoy locally produced foods. Roughly 160 hands-on programs are on the schedule (advance sign-up required / fee required). See, walk, learn, and eat. Discover new charms of the Nagara River through this hands-on event.
