[Sakura avenue by the Meguro River]
A hanami walk through a tunnel of sakura
The best way to enjoy hanami around the Meguro River is to stroll along the rows of sakura there. The 800 or so somei-yoshino trees planted on both sides of the Meguro River for about 4 km, from the large bridge near Ikejiri Ohashi Station to Fudomae, Meguro Station, create a magnificent tunnel over the water. Hanami by night with the bombori lanterns glittering on the river surface is truly enchanting.
