Ichigo no Yamauchiya (Ishigaki Ichigo) | Japan Highlights Travel, for sightseeing around Tokaido

Shizuoka Station

[Ichigo no Yamauchiya (Ishigaki Ichigo)]

Over 100 years of growing strawberries in the foothills of Mt. Kuno

Having grown many varieties over three generations since the Taisho period, the farm now specializes in the local variety called "akihime". Every fruit, red and ripe, features a fresh sweetness with little sourness. The farm is open for strawberry picking on Saturday, Sunday and holidays from January to May every year. You can pick the delicious strawberries and eat them on the spot, and you hear exclamations like, "Oh, it's so sweet!", and "Yummy!" echoing around the greenhouse.
Posted photo First, try the strawberries without putting anything on them, and enjoy the natural sweetness and sourness
