[Odawara Fishing Port]
Eat your fill of fresh seafood from Sagami Bay, at a fishing port right by Hayakawa Station, one stop away from Odawara!
Odawara Fishing Port is an example of a kind of port which is rare in Japan, having been constructed by digging out the land. It enjoys a fertile fishing ground where a wide variety of seafood gathers in abundance. The area around the port has lots of restaurants where you can eat your fill of seafood, stores which sell aquatic products and shops for renting fishing boats, and visitors flock there to try all the different foods that Odawara is so rightly proud of.A "Port Morning Market" is held every Saturday morning, and is a place where a wide range of fresh fish and local Odawara specialties can be bought at very reasonable prices. (There are occasional days when the market is not held.)
