Odawara Station

[Sengokuhara]

A plateau where visitors can enjoy art as well as natural scenery

It is said that Sengokuhara, which today is characterized by moors and grassland, was a lake about 20,000 years ago. Visitors can enjoy beautiful natural scenery that changes with the seasons, with for example skunk cabbages adding color to the moors in early spring before giving way to azaleas in high spring, and green covering the whole area in summer. In autumn, the place is famous for its landscapes of golden pampas grass swaying in the wind. Taking in the art museums around the area is also very rewarding.
