Gifu-Hashima Station

[Nagara River Onpaku]

Events to deepen affection for Gifu among visitors and guides alike

Various experience programs and events will be held mainly in Gifu City and in towns and villages along Nagara River over about 2 months to show off the appeals of Gifu. Visitors will be guided by ordinary local people according to their fields of expertise. For example, visitors can enjoy a guided stroll around historical districts of the city, try fishing at the river along with fishermen, and enjoy locally produced foods. Roughly 150 experience programs are scheduled (advance application / fee required). They are participatory events where you'll be able to discover the appeals of Gifu by seeing, walking, learning and eating.
